Ok, you have to tell me how you did this, because all the instructions I've found online make it sound IMPOSSIBLE. But it's clearly not!

@Eve -- It's simple, really. Just place the iPhone in the gaping hole where your stereo used to be, queue up your favorite album, and crank up the iPhone's volume. If you haven't already replaced the window that the crackhead thieves broke, the wind whipping through the car might make it hard to hear the tiny iPhone speakers when you're driving faster than 30mph or so. But once you replace the window and they're all rolled up, the tiny iPhone speaker can easily replicate the high quality sound of an AM radio.
